Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
With a focus on prevention, this core training program equips participants with proven strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage
WHIMIS Legislated Training
This online training course is for certification training. The WHMIS course contains both WHMIS GHS and WHMIS 1988, which employers are required to maintain training in the workplace until December 2018.
This course meets all the training requirements under Health Canada’s HPR (Hazardous Products Regulations), and helps re-enforce the importance of safety training. The primary objective of this course was to provide participants with the skills necessary to protect their health and safety when working with, or in proximity to, WHMIS-controlled products.
Workplace Violence and Harassment
This certification explains the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and sets out roles and responsibilities of workplace parties with respect to workplace violence and workplace harassment, including developing and implementing policies and programs and providing information and instruction on these matters.

Standard First Aid CPR-HCP
Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to gain knowledge to respond to emergencies. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Includes injury prevention content, CPR and AED.

N95 Respirator Fit Test
Tight-fitting respirators must seal to the wearer’s face in order to provide expected protection. This includes disposable respirators, and fit testing is required before a user wears a mandatory respirator.

Infection Control Training
The course focuses on reinforcing the need to apply necessary precautions, ensuring that local procedures and protocols are adhered to. The courses instruct on the processes and procedures of infection control, and build awareness of the commitment to take personal responsibility.

Privacy Legislation Training (PIPEDA; PHIPA)
PIPEDA: Completed an online module on the federal privacy law for private-sector organizations. It sets out the ground rules for how businesses must handle personal information in the course of commercial activity.
PHIPA: Completed an online module on the set of rules for the collection, use and disclosure of personal health information.

Action Over Intertia Certification
Two-day certification on evaluating activity patterns, making collaborative decisions related to participation, and encouraging sustained investment for persons with serious mental illness.
Health and Human Rights Conference
The Health and Human Rights Conference hosted a forum on the themes of conflict, security, and health. In this forum, I was able to participate in a debate on military action, and in particular identified the challenges with calling global forces to action when International Humanitarian Law is challenged.
